Happy 4th of July!
Been like 2 weeks since I posted, but it feels like only a week has gone by! It was an awesome surprise to find out alot more of you than I thought are checking back daily, so I’m going to do my best to keep updates as often as possible!
A week and a half ago I started back riding my bike. It’s awesome to do in the morning right after you wake up (and before it gets too hot). Now that I have my days planned and organized better, I’m usually up sometime between 7 and 9am. I’ve also gotten back in the habit of usually eating breakfast watching CNN and cooking shows at lunch. That way while I’m eating, I’m at least learning more about stuff- whatever the current subject or topic might be.
I do need to get back on reading King Lear, but in regards to my drawing I have a really cool development! I gave my copy of “Bridgmans Complete Guide to Drawing From Life” to my buddy Emilo for his daughter Emily- it’s an awesome resource, definitely the best I’ve found for human anatomy. She’s super-talented and I know having that book will easily help her master the fundamentals of drawing, like I was using it do help me do the same thing. Until I get another one in a week or so, I’ve been and will continue to try drawing people’s faces with modern hairstyles and goofy expressions. I’ve had some really cool results and I’ll post them up later. Throughout all the running around and work and stuff, I keep forgetting to play videogames. I love videogames, I grew up on them and books. It’s been 3 days since I even played Lumines (really quick simple easy game to get into, similar to tetris) and at least a week since I’ve spent more than 15 minutes with a game. I need to bring that fun part back into my life.
