I was looking at my book on Leonardo Da Vinci and I saw this sketch of an old man he did. It was pretty awesome so I tried it out.
I didn’t do as well on the head as I wanted, so I started again, just focusing on the head.
When I do a full head sketch (a rare occasion), I start out from the center of the page, albeit the lower right side of the center. I don’t usually start out with a box and mold the head, but I’m here to learn and get better doing stuff I don’t normally do. It was a bumpy ride as you can tell, but working out the kinks there, allowed me to get a fairly good sketch of him in the lower right corner. Sometimes you need the bumps to get to the good sketches.
Some sketches of my friend’s stuffed toy pig. I also added another take of mine on some of DaVinci’s sketches.
